2006-2007 Achievements:
Curriculum Purchases
· "6-Trait Writing" teacher training
· Direct Spanish Instruction for Grades K-5 for 2006-2007
Technology Purchases
· 1 Laptop Computer
· 3 Airliners
· 24 SmartBoards
(Combines the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power
of a computer)
· 2 Digital Cameras
· 23 Ceiling-Mounted LCD Projectors with installation
· Phonic Ear System
Grants Received: Local Assistance Grant to be used for the purchase of items from Murdock's “Teacher Priority List”:
· A new copier · Four desktop computers · Seven high volume network printers (one per grade level)
All of these items are on the Murdock “Teacher’s Priority List” that MESF received several weeks back. This is an amazing accomplishment. Please join us in sincerely thanking MESF Past President John Zegers and State Senator Judson Hill for their tireless advocating on behalf of Murdock and for helping us access these funds.
This will be a huge leap forward for our school by reducing the amount of time our teachers spend waiting in line to make copies or fixing paper jams and thus freeing them up to focus more of their time on instruction.
2007 Grant Received from the State of Georgia - $32, 600.

2007 Grant Received from Target Department Stores, Inc. - $1500.
This Grant was used to purchase Weekly Readers for our 1st Grade.
